Who Can Play?
There are some rules to keep it fair—and only true U19 players get on the rink. To play, every athlete must show a proper passport or national ID and be officially listed for their team. No shortcuts here! Age-wise, if you’re a boy born in 2007 or a girl born in 2006 (oldest), you’re eligible. The youngest players who can play are those born in 2012.
Fair Play—No Cheating Allowed
Here’s the deal: if a team puts an ineligible player on the rink, the authorities don’t mess around. The team gets hit with a fine, loses the game, and the non-offending squad gets two points plus five extra goals for their tally! That’s a pretty strong incentive to keep it honest.
What makes this tournament so great?
It’s more than just hockey. These players are building friendships, learning about teamwork, and maybe even scouting for the next big step into professional sports. And for everyone in Ternitz, this event brings the whole community together.
